The Dashboard Module is the main User Interface for the healthcare professionals in the Holobalance project. The healthcare professionals, in this case, are the physiotherapist that is directly involved in the treatment of patients with balance disorders.
These professionals use the Dashboard Module as their single point of entry in the Holobalance platform. After making the decision that a patient is suitable to use the Holobalance system, the first thing the healthcare professionals can do is to register the patient in the Holobalance system. Currently, this is a process of creating a specific “Holobalance” account, but for future scenarios, this process will be more tightly integrated with the existing tools that are used in their particular physiotherapy practice.
After registering the patient, the Dashboard Module will guide the physiotherapist together with the patient through a series of tests and questionnaires that set the baseline information needed to provide a tailored training experience for the patient. The Dashboard can store the results of these questionnaires and tests and keep the information readily accessible to the physiotherapist for future reference.
The next step is for the physiotherapist – together with the patient, and based on the test and questionnaire results (as well as their own expert view of the patient) – to create a personal training schedule. The physiotherapist can select which exercises are relevant for the patient, on which difficulty level they should be performed and how often.
When the patient uses the Holobalance system at home, their exercise performance is recorded through the advanced Holobalance sensing system. These results are captured in the user’s home environment, and the analysed results sent back to the Dashboard module. The physiotherapist can then – whenever they wish – view how the patients have performed the exercise.
